Feel like I'm falling apart- what's going on?

I was low on iron a while ago and I took iron for about a year with no problems, since stopping I've had a lot of constipation and bloating.

In the last few months I've started to feel run down and exhausted again like my iron is low- hair is starting to fall out and I have terrible brain fog. My calves ache terribly when I go to bed at night and my forearms are starting to ache a bit as well. Im also boiling hot at bedtime every night but cold most of the day.

My periods have been between 35- 40 days since my baby turned one. They always start with aches before then feeling really depressed during but no major pain or cramps and last around 4 days.
This month though I've taken my period at 22 days- so 2 weeks early and it was a really weird period- it started unexpected with no pain I just woke up to a flood- and it was then a lot more painful than usual with a really tender spot at the front of my stomach (womb/bladder area?). It only lasted two days with none of the emotional symptoms.

I'm starting to feel like something is really wrong- my weight is going up so much, I'm so bloated and look pregnant but not sure how much is bloating and how much is weight gain, and when I bend over it feels like something is in the way. I can tend to be a bit health anxious so I don't know how much I'm overthinking it.

I'm only early 30's so doubt it's perimenopause, I have suspected a cyst as I've had a few large ones in pregnancy.

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well OP. What does the GP say?

idontlikealdi · 17/02/2021 10:03

Do you take a vitamin d supplement?

DeathAndTaxis · 17/02/2021 10:16

My understanding is that women should discuss any significant change around menstruation urgently with their GP.

Yes go and see the doctor, could be any number of things that is on mumsnet don’t really know.

Mummyofbananas · 17/02/2021 10:41

I've not been to the docs yet it's just been a slow build up of things with nothing major- and as I'm a bit health anxious I always think I'm just worrying about nothing but the early period has made me think I should, I'll probably phone them and make an appointment today.

no vitamin D, I stopped taking iron a while ago when I ran out.

Thanks everyone, just wanted to know I wasn't being ridiculous making an appointment- my gp can be a bit dismissive.
