Yes, exactly the same has happened to me.

I have also started getting PMT, after the birth of DS2. I don't get ratty, but do feel quite "down" in the week before my period. Also get really heavy periods now.

Am hoping to find something to at least take the edge off it as could seriously divorce DH one week a month and then afterwards feel really guilty. Anyone heard of any solutions as don't have alot of faith in evening primrose oil?

Ladies I have the answer!!

Magnesium OK (from Boots £10 for 90 tablets) and Agnus Castus from a site called JustVitamins. They changed my life, plus everyone who lives with me!

Take one a day of each.

yes
try agnus castus and vit b6

Me too. Never had it before, and not after dd. But then periods only returned properly after I finished breastfeeding ds, about a year ago.
And since then I have felt like crap every month. A friend recommended a supplement. Will try and remember what it's called. Something like G8 or ... it's completely gone. Anyway, she has found she has been more steady and less hormonal since she started taking it.

Mine is much worse after kids (and it was quite bad before). I find supplements have really helped me although evening primrose never did, I take the WellWoman one from Boots & pulsatilla (homeopathic remedy, boots or h&b) seems to help with the anger/anxiety/teariness. I've heard a lot of people talk about vitamin b6, as I think a lot of women pre-period are deficient in it & magnesium as well I think. Wellwoman has both, plus starflower etc. It's made a big difference to me (when I remember to take it!). I think there are ways of telling if you're deficient in certain things e.g. nails, skin, hair. Also certain remedies, natural or otherwise will suit certain pmt symptoms. Some people have really tender breasts for instance. I have an article tucked in my filofax which suggests other things, I'll dig it out.

not 'lock-me-in-a-cupboard' PMT but definitely much stronger than before having DS
