Have justy got back from the emergnecy doctor as dd has a urine infection. She is in quite a it of pain after passing water and it is all very inflamed and sore down there.

Besides being very tired I am worried about her being in pain at school because she is the sort to not tell anyone, apparantly she has been in pain for a few days before telling us. She is struggling to walk properly as it is so sore. She is also a little worried about having to go the the loo a lot as she was told off today for spending too long on the toilet.

But dd loves school, when I told her she would be staying at home with me she took her medicine and said I feel all better now mummy so I think I can go to school before hobbling upstairs.

Should I let her go in to school tomorrow, keep her at home or let her in for half a day so she can have a lie in.

That is what I thought.

I am usually a complete tyrant when it comes to dd having time off school as I teach in a school with relatively high absence although dd loves school so it is never a problem.

Normally my rule is if you can walk, you are not throwing up and you are not contagious you must go in, but I think I may make an exception.
