Help!! ? Broken ??

Feel absolutely awful. Left my DD (15 months old) with DH for all of 5 mins y.day and she's only gone and trapped her fingers in the door... MEN!! Confused

Obviously, she was very upset but after mummy cuddles, and ibuprofen she settled down. However she was still holding it, and not really holding anything in it, and coming to show me saying ouch!

This morning, it's still really swollen and red, no obvious bruise and she's grabbing things occasionally and playing. But when touched she's in a lot of pain.

Do you think it's broken if she can still Bend them?

Thanks.

I’m a first aider. The only waiting be sure it’s broken (unless the bone is sticking through the skin) is by x ray. That poor hand looks like it would benefit someone looking at it anyway though. Poor baby.

you need to get it seen. as pp say, only an xray can show broken bones.

it was an accident, could happen to anyone...

Thank you for replying, I'll get her seen today.

Obviously with the pandemic you don't really feel like going to those places unless necessary do you 😭

Good luck @EllaF1410. The few people I know who have had to go to A&E since March have all reported it to be very well organised with very little waiting. Obviously that’s just one hospital.

I do believed the chocolate buttons are very good for swollen hands on toddlers.Wink
