I'm a little concerned about DS3. He's always been a little constipated, had to work very very hard to get anything out. Even as a baby we sometimes had to pull poos out of his bottom on occasion 😂

He was prescribed lactulose which he takes relatively regularly. Last Thursday he had a sore tummy and an explosion of liquid poo, followed by a semi solid poo on Friday.

And since then, nothing. He is at nursery most of the day, and they confirm nothing there either. Should I just keep pushing the lactulose or should I be asking for medical opinions? He doesn't seem uncomfortable, and has been eating. Though he doesn't eat a massive amount on the whole.

I usually give it with fresh warm orange juice with and that seems to disguise it.

I have also taught DS to squat on the loo seat if it's really difficult and that often seems to help, I have to hold his hands though in case he falls

I hope your DS feels better soon. Could I suggest probiotics, I use a powder for DS(3) which I sprinkle into.hus food. He goes everyday without fail since we started, he used to be constipated before that.

That's a good idea, thank you. Had luck with a smoothie today so have got the full dose into him. Will see what tomorrow brings. 💩🤞
