I have this! Hate it! I think it is due to sun damage ☹️ Following to see if anyone knows more

Its probably pterygium. Get your optician to have a look at your next checkup

My mum has something like that and it’s due to sun damage (she grew up in a hot country)

Pterigium or pinguecula maybe. I have one. Had it all my life, and as a child had lots of eye appointments to keep a watch of it. In my 40s now and it’s never caused any problems other than meaning I can’t wear contact lenses due to its position.

Looks like pingueculae. Good idea to get it checked at the optician. Sunglasses can help prevent these from getting much worse but some people do seem prone to them.

My ex MIL had one of these is was a type of cyst (don’t know the name of it) she had it taken out in the end because it was irritating her. She said the procedure although not nice wasn’t painful and was a bit irritating after for a few days but fine.

Hey did you ever find out what it was on your eye? And has it changed? I’ve got the same on my eye now it looks identical!
it seems to have got bigger after using contact lenses and having dry eyes! If anyone has similar I’d be grateful to hear, thank you x

it’s a pingeculae (they can also become pteryguim).
you can have them removed - but it would be cosmetic at this stage.
they’re associated with sun exposure, so make sure you’re wearing sunglasses.
