Tingling leg and hand - reassurance!

I've been having a tingling feeling in my lower leg on one side for a couple of months. Also have noticed occasional tingling in my hand on opposite side. I've been to gp who has done bloods - b12, thyroid etc and they were normal. I've now been referred to neurology and totally panicking I have something really serious wrong. Waiting list is really long so I really need to get on top of my anxiety about this.
Please reassure me I'm overthinking it and it could be nothing!

Yes and it was put down to stress in the end, if you are anxious it can be a self perpetuating cycle, but best to get it checked if only to put your mind at rest, good luck

Hi OP, I know this is an old post but just wondering how you are feeling now and if you've seen the neurologist yet? I've also been experiencing tingling and warm sensation on my left leg (from knee to foot) for months. I've had numerous GP appointments, blood tests and ct scan. The GP keep saying it could be migraine even though I don't experience any pain and I've been put on another medication.

Another one here with altered sensations in my hands and sometimes feet (almost like its numb but I feel sensation perfectly fine) as well as tender and sensitive spots (kind of like shingles pain but it’s not shingles) especially on the outside side of my palm and foot. Feels like it’s been chafed on something.

B12 was high but I do wonder if I have absorption issues because I often get glossitis (sore tongue) too. Whenever I’ve gone in with a sore tongue (I know it’s a b12D symptom) my levels are fine, but I find tha taking an intensive course of b12 (1000mg rapid melt tabs) and high dosage iron supplements resolves the pain within a week or so. Vit D was good and iron ferritin was on the low side but within range (33 - range is 30-150). I have celiac disease so not a stranger to anemia.

Honestly I feel like I’m being fobbed off by doctors. Seen a neuro who ruled out scaries and GP is just putting it down to “something but nothing serious”. Anxiety obviously makes it worse but the symptoms are very real. I’m just sick of being shrugged at. I don’t feel like myself at all.

I'm in a similar situation with tingling in both feet since last Dec. Had a call with a neurologist and just had a nerve conduction study done. I guess I will hear from them in Spring?

It's taking an age but it's reassuring that it's not getting any worse. Anxiety makes it so much worse since I tune into it and amplify it. Not sure if it's completely caused by anxiety though. I did see it on a list of menopause symptoms, since mine is intermittent I was wondering if it could be that?
