Hi beautiful people, hope you all are doing well and staying safe.
My girl is 2 Yr old and a week back I found a boil kind of thing on the inside of her lower lip, she often gets canker sores but they are usually white so I can't really relate this boil to the canker sores. I have no idea when of if my GP will get back to me due to all coronavirus thing. Can anybody please help me to identify it?

Is it possible she ate something too hot and it's a blister? If not a mouth ulcer. Try some Bonjella if you have some. If it's still there in a few days or gets worse phone GP.

Looks a lot like a mucocele that my DD had when she was a baby.

She was seen at a dental hospital to confirm and it went away on it's own after a few weeks before they had a chance to give us a date to remove it.

She didn't burn her mouth surely but I'll try bonjela, thank you.

@PLAYJAJADINGDONG is that something dangerous? This boil thing is quite squishy, it's not popping but I don't think it's hurting her.

You may have more luck with a dentist rather than gp

SleepyTinker · 04/01/2021 16:31

Dentists have clearly declined an appointment to her

Not dangerous Sleepy and didn't seem to bother DD apart from making bf-ing a bit trickier.

It was our GP who referred her to hospital (Oral Max).

I work in a GPs now and they can do referrals from photographs for this kind of thing without seeing pt so I would probably book a phone appointment and go from there.

GP can do referral from photograph so you

PLAYJAJADINGDONG thank you, I'll do that. You have been really helpful

My child had something that looked like that when she was 6 months old. After to-ing and fro-ing between dentist, dental hospital and doctor it was decided it was a mucocele. It went on its own after a couple of months

SleepyTinker · 05/01/2021 23:40

@bigfelephantom thank you, I guess it's nothing serious, waiting for the doctor to get back to me. Such tough times due to covid, I hope i don't have to make a lot of trips. Thank you all lovelies ❤️
