Hey, I was wiping my daughters bottom earlier and am unsure if what I found were worm segments

Most common worms would be threadworms - white and thin and thread like. Were they moving?

You can buy the treatment from Boots online, it’s just one tablet each. So wouldn’t hurt to take it to be on the safe side.

There is a liquid firm of ovex too but I think ovex is for age 2+. What age is your child?

Cantdoitallperfectly · 01/01/2021 22:05

You would see the worms moving it the stools, it’s awful but treatable with effort. You’ll need to wash all bedding and shower her in the am to get rid of the eggs. Is it’s not something she’s had to eat? Seeds or something?

And you'll need to treat the whole family too. Very common and very treatable.

Ah don't worry, dose the whole family with ovex, change beds and towels, cut and scrub child nails, good hygiene. They are so common and if you have nail biters or thumb suckers it gets worse. I always have a stash of ovex in the cupboard.

Had she eaten an orange or bean sprouts?

MrsMills2014 · 01/01/2021 23:51

No she has a very bland diet due to sensory issues which only consists of pasta, biscuits, crisps, chips, cheese, milkshake, freeze dried fruit and chocolate. Nothing she has eaten looks like these. They look like off white lumps, smaller than sesame seeds
