Not sure if you can for good but olive oil left on overnight and washed off with gentle shampoo does wonders!

Hi, I was wondering about this myslef. My dd is 17 months and still has cradle cap. It was very bad when she was younger but has improved a bit. She now has a lot of hair and I find that using the olive oil helps a bit but can only use barely warm water to wash her hair and it always looks really greasy afterwards.
Does anyone know if the Dentinox shampoo is very harsh as dd has eczema and don't want to risk a reaction?

ScottishMummy · 24/10/2007 21:58

i used dentinox - worked really well, not too harsh. olive oil left on overnight worked too

almond oil applied at night and then brushed and lightly washed in morning. Makes it soft and sticks to brush 'bristles' or comb as I used!

mumtodd detinox was fine for ds ezcema, just didnt do anything to his cradle cap.or cradlecrap as he quite funnily misprounces it

Both dds have/had eczema, and Dentinox was fine for both of them (and cleared it up). I used sweet almond oil (less smelly than olive, IMO) on them when they were teeny and didn't have much hair, but dd1 is now nearly 4 and still has a small patch of cradle cap that has come back. Its not noticeable, but still....

...am going to try the Head and Shoulders tip, thanks

Thanks. I am going to give the Dentinox a try. MIL will be delighted as I regularly see her looking at dd's head and tut tutting about the cardle cap.
