Dizziness and migraine?

Imagineit · 28/12/2020 17:26

I suffer with migraines right before my period and they usually last 48 hours max.

6 days ago I started with mild intermittent and persistent dizziness/ light headedness which was worse when I tilted my head/ stood up. I've never had this before. This continued for Three days then I started with migraine which responded to my triptans medication (this also seemed to lessen the dizziness too). I'm now on day three of migraine now and still feeling fluffy/ lightheaded.

I've no idea what's going on, does this sound familiar to anyone? The dizziness freaks me out a bit as does the prolonged migraine. Had a covid test and it was negative.

Was planning to call the doctor but obviously they've been closed for 4 days. Sad

I have vestibular migraines which make me very dizzy and disoriented- could you have the same issue?

Imagineit · 29/12/2020 20:39

This is the conclusion I'm coming to after a bit of research. It's just so weird, I'm hoping I don't have to suffer much longer it's been a week now Sad

I get different types of migraine and am often dizzy. Vestibular migraines mean I can barely stand up. Migraines are horrible.

Yes, I've experienced these migraines, they're extremely debilitating. You can't even lie/roll over in bed without feeling like you're spinning. I hope you're feeling better soon.

Sounds vestibular. Vestibular migraines are awful. I would vomit whenever I moved, basically.
