Itching all over

Has anyone had this? I'm not pregnant. I have had itchy legs for months and months and put it down to dry skin, bad circulation (varicose veins) but I have noticed my scalp was really itchy and now in the last few weeks it is all over.

I'm really scared about seeing the dr. What is it likely to be? I take the pill but nothing else and no other issues. I am 41. No pets. The only thing I've done differently is started dying my own hair due to lockdown but the last time I dyed it was 1st December and I did a patch test before. My back, chest and tummy are constantly itching especially. Has anyone had this?

Absolutely normal to be worried about blood results OP, especially as you were feeling anxious anyway, so try not to read anything into the fact that you’re worrying about it. People often think that worrying about this kind of thing is a sixth sense and that being worried indicates something is really wrong - it doesn’t! It is just natural to worry about the unknown. Can you try to distract yourself (easier said than done I know) and if an intrusive worry pops in then try to consciously reject it and think about something else.

I think its common to worry but the chances of it being anything serious are extremely low in the absence of other symptoms. Tiredness with young kids is totally normal. I'm allergic to hair dye and that can come on at any point I think I read even if not previously allergic - doubt it will be that but some other allergy is very possible. Things worth trying are skin creams etc, vitamins and anti-histamines though would await blood test results before vitamins. I think stress alone can make you itch sometimes.

Still itching!! Blood tests have come back normal. She said they tested (apologies for spelling) heameglobin, kidney, liver and electrolytes -there may have been one or two more mentioned but couldn't keep up. No further action. Does that mean they have checked for diabetes and leukaemia?? Sorry I sound dramatic!! I was really anxious!

I think the test wouldn't have come back normal if you had diabetes or leukemia (!) Step away from Google man.

Now take those antihistamines.
