Random numbness/tingling feeling

Over the last month I have intermittent numbness/tingling feeling around my eye/eyebrow and slightly underneath the eye on my face.

It comes out of the blue but comes most evenings & each episode lasts for a few minutes and comes and goes during that episode.

If it lasts a bit longer I get a bit worried, but always goes so know not a Stroke etc -

I have an under-active thyroid but on the right meds with no change to that for 20 years -

I do have some anxiety but the sensation does not seem linked to an episode of anxiety.

I appreciate it is probably a GP visit, but any thoughts/opinions welcome in the meantime?

Current GP is closed with telephone appointments only, I have recently had a bereavement so fear the GP may just think it is linked and anxiety - but it supersedes that time...

Any experience welcome?

My tingling face was B12 deficiency, it started a couple of years ago. I also have an under active thyroid (20 years also) Low ferritin, Vitamin D & B12 are often seen in patients with hypothyroidism. Have you had any of your levels checked or do they just check thyroid function?

I came on to suggest b12 too.

There's reliable information available via fb or look up b12 Society or b12d.

Thank you both for replying - had a look and sounds like a real possibility-
got bloods due in Jan so will see what that shows - they do tend to do Vit D as that has been low in the past so will mention B12 & see if they can add it to the blood form.
