why don't you buy the hopi candles from a health food store and do it yourself? i had a probloem with an ear blockage in teh spring and bought some and got dh to hold them for me...it's easy to do and they come with instructions..

Sometimes it does work , but it depends on the severity of the impacting. Its very relaxing thogh if in discomfort in this area.

I had very impacted ear problems , had several hopi treatments , none worked , had to be referred to a specialist and have it all removed with a special tool , was painless , but great to hear again. I had syringing before the treatments.

no tubes or syringe involved with hopi. just a tubular beez wax thing , that you sit on the outside of the ear and lay whilst it melts down , I think it creates a very gentle vacum to take up the debris! Im not sure really.

melsy, what was the treatment that worked with the special tool? What is a hopi anyway?

melsy · 22/10/2007 11:36

no it was via NHS nuero department after having several hearing tests. Like a picker thing with a vacum I think , dont really know , didnt want to look, ,but it didnt hurt at all , was very satisfying feeling !!!!
