Hiya, this is quite personal, and i considered a name change but I always get it wrong and end up doing the reveal.

I have always had intermittent bladder control probs since dd's birth. Not serious, but just a few drops now and again. I can't actually feel myself doing it, and have been checked up and am apparently fine, yet obv not 100%.

I just hate it when i get up in the morning, or at the end of the day and all I can smell is wee. Sometimes after a long car journey, I have to not only change my pants but my trousers. I am not aware of any thing leaking tho, should I be aware?

The only thing that makes someone aware of incontinence is actually feeling the wetness. If you were aware at the time, you would most likely be able to control it more.

it might be worth asking your GP if there is a continence nurse at your local hospital. they hold clinics and can be really helpful with advising on exercises and also products you can use. if you are getting distressed by it, go back and exlplain to your GP.

Car journeys are the worst btw as the position you sit in puts added pressure on the bladder. maybe consider wearing a pad when you are in the car ?

i have had this recently to. and have to wear a pad every day, and it gets wet, i havent been to gp yet, but have been trying to do the pelvic floor ex,

i hate it i am 31 is this e for the rest of my life?????

no advice sorry

sorry you are having it rough at the moment. Some people just have naturally weaker bladders than most, myself included. Pelvic floor exercises are the way to go, like on long car journeys clenching and relaxing. Takes a few months, but if you do it every day, about 100 times, holding each clench for a second or two when you get better, you eventually can feel more difference between relaxed and clenched, and therefore knowing when to hold gets easier.
Don't be afraid to keep asking your gp as it is a real problem and it does reduce the quality if your life. I hate feeling preoccupied if I don't know where the nearest toilet is in public places.

I would ask for a gynae referral. I've been checked and have a small prolapse but have been referred to urologist to have my bladder tested. The fill it up with sterile water to see how much it holds< faints>. This is to test for another condition where you don't realise your bladder is full and it can be controlled with drugs.
