What is this rash on my sons face?

Hi, so Thursday we had a daily report from nursery that said "spots appeared on [names] face"

He has eczema, so I thought maybe that was it and washed face and applied cream.

Over the last few days it's gotten worse. It doesn't seem to bother him at all, but I've just had a call from his nursery again that it's on his forehead. Waiting for a call back from GP.

They seem to appear after hes had milk, but today he hasn't had milk and they've never been on his forehead before.

For relevance he's completely fine in himself other than teething

Pictures are terrible I'll get a better one when he's home from nursery

My son has slight bumpy skin that goes a bit red like that from time to time. I haven't been able to pinpoint it to anything in particular. I just assume it's a bit of dry skin and treat accordingly

@livingbreathingcoffee I thought it was just dry skin too, I put cream on him initially once a day and moved up to x3 a day but nothing budges it. Thankfully it doesn't bother him

My sons skin goes like that when the weather is cold. Lots of cream (we have diprobase), ask the nursery if they can apply it too, and make sure they aren't wiping his face with baby wipes or kitchen roll as they can be quite harsh. Cotton wool or reusable wipes work for us.

My LB face is similar atm. I actually thought it was because I always wipe his face with a wet cloth and never dry it. I am going to start drying after cleaning or wiping and then add some bepanthen to see if it makes any difference. My LB's is more on his cheeks rather than around the mouth area. If he is teething does he have drool on his cheeks? Could be that too x

Looks like dry skin, often when the area is moist and dries a lot dribble areas I’d say
And the moving from warm to cold at this time of year makes it worse

Cream doesn’t always help, try something different or use a barrier cream too. If it’s only this one area I’d not be too worried you could ask Hv/pharmacist if it gets worse?

Slapped cheek? (Parvovirus)
