Hello, I don't know where is best to post this, so have done so under a few sections.
I'm 32, have had a great upbringing lots of friends and travelled alot. My issue is that I know I have been places/took part in activities but have no memories of them.
I have picture to look back on which will remind me I done certain things, but if it wasn't for them I probably would know as I couldn't tell you what happened, how we got there etc
This isn't just small things either, I'm talking about my wedding, a job I was in for 8 years I left 2.5years ago an I can't remember what I done, I have no childhood memories. My friends will talk about things we done and I can't remember anything.
What can I do to help myself? I now have 2 young kids and I want be rmember our life together.
I'm getting very down about it the more I think about it.
I hope someone has some advice.
Thanks

Well the one thing you can do from now on is keep a diary of anything important. So all your children’s firsts, any holidays or special achievements.
Then I would seriously consider seeing your GP as this isn’t normal.

Very strange the night I decide to find out more about my issue by posting on a forum, I find what I more than likely have... severely deficient autobiographical memory. It's not common, but people are experiencing the same things I do. I feel better already that it's not just me, but I definitely think you're right about a diary. I already take lots of pictures and videos of my kids, and although it's sad I don't always remember them happening, I still have them to look back on.

Have you been diagnosed with ADHD? it's a comorbid condition in certain subtypes.

No ADHD or any issues with behaviours throughout life.

Then I second seeing your GP about it.
