I really did not know where to put this post. It's a bout a sloping cushion.

My car is a Sports line version (not a sports car per se).
The seats are relatively bucket shaped and deeper at the back than the front which means that my driving position is such that my bottom/pelvis/hips are lower than my knees.

It's causing me pain and lots of it. I'm not in a financial position at the moment to change the car so i'm looking for a temporary solution.

I bought a foam cushion pad today from Dunelm and tried to cut it to the right shape and size but I ended up making a complete hash of it.

I've found this cushion on Amazon but it is too wide for the car seat.

I do have a second cushion pad from Dunelm that i can try and cut again if anyone knows the knack to it.
Or can somebody please recommend a different solution.

TIA

Would something like this work- specially made for cars so no modification is required:

I had this same problem! Gave me shocking backache.

I played with the seat adjustment, but couldn't get a satisfactory position. For me the solution was to sell the car and buy another.

I know that doesn't help you much, but I wanted you to know you're not alone!

Thank you both. Changing the car is the best solution but not viable just now for financial reasons. I'm going to remeasure the seat space tomorrow as one of those cushions will hopefully work. Thanks again

Also look at Halfords car seat cushions.

I’d suggest a small rectangular shape cushion at the back. With a non-slidey covering. Then another regular square cushion on the top. I do that for my mum or she can’t get out of my passenger seat!

The problem with using any cushion is that in a collision you risk submarining under the seat belt.

How tall are you? Is your seat correctly positioned? A lot of drivers have their seat set too low and this often exacerbates the rake of the seat.

thanks for the extra posts. I think I have my seat high enough. It's not possible to actually change the angle; I can only move the whole seat up/down and forward/back and change the back rest but not the base of the seat.

This isn't the exact car but my seat is very much like this.
