Niggly, intense, dull pain left back rib cage under bra area. What could this be? started in sept on and off accompanied by gripey stomach and rib pains, these have settled now but back getting worse. Dr suggested gallstones an referred for scan (that will be months) or possible stomach issue so given omeprozole. Im at my wits end please any advice from similar experiences?

I got pain on left and right side. I'm waiting for my gallbladder to be removed due to gallstones. It's not a niggle pain when it starts though. Its an intense pain.

@sitdowncupoftea mine has become intense only cocodamol takes the edge off. Is it there constant?

I had gallstones, I would get attacks of discomfort in the middle and slightly to the right, and then radiating into my back and shoulder. The attacks were infrequent but the pain worsened. Gallstones were diagnosed.

Then I had a severe attack that would not go. I just did what they’d done in hospital - take painkillers and rest. It lasted five days before I saw the GP, ended in hospital with a severe gallbladder infection and pancreatitis.

If it’s severe and all the time, you need to be seen as soon as possible - especially if it might be pancreatitis as that can make you very ill

@123efox You need to see a GP they will give you a scan. My gallstones are bad and since Covid my ops been cancelled as I have to have gallbladder removed. Gallstones don't go away.
