Do you take vitamin D? What dosage, and are the Wilko or supermarket brands good enough?

I was tested as deficient in Vit D earlier this year so I take 8000iu one day, 4000iu the next.
Must be working as I previously had terrible bone and joint pain but that has really eased off now.
The ones I take are from amazon and they also contain K2.

I also take Magnesium, Immunace, and high strength Vit C and zinc.

@mumofone2019. I don't 'do' Facebook. Do you have any other advice from there (or anywhere) that might help me.

I'm thinking about ordering a test to do at home, but not sure which company to use.

I'm currently taking 25ug a day.

I tested low via the Drs a while ago, and B12 (using the 'better' mouth spray for that)

I was taking a multi/magnesium/2nd 25ug Vit D & turmeric until about 2 months ago, but something was making my blood sugars do weird things, so I cut them out in case it was something in them. I need to reintroduce them 1x1 to see if it was them, which one? It seemed weird, but I thought one of them might have sugar/sweetener added?!

Feel so tired all the time, exhausted, though didn't feel much better when I was taking them. Sigh.

I used Thriva a year or so ago. I was in the okay but not optimal range. I was a stone underweight last winter so I'm a bit worried about any deficiencies in general, and if I've used up more of my vitamin D reserves since then though.

Low levels of vitamin D are quite common with my disability, my levels were very low, I was advised to take 10,000 iu a day, and get outside in sunshine as and when I can, I took 10,000 iu for a year, my levels have risen to a normal range, so I now take 4,000 iu a day, my levels are checked every 3 months.

@MJMG2015 I use www.vitamindtest.org.uk/

It is an actual NHS laboratory. Quick and easy and (I think cheaper) than Thriva.

Just checked, Thriva is £30 just for vitamin D. I wanted to check my levels of a few things though, it doesn't cost as much to add tests as they use the one kit.
