blocked eustachian tube tips?

Woke up about 3 days ago with loud tinnitus in my left ear and a full feeling. Pretty sure it's my eustachian tube but I've tried my usual steam inhalation, warm cloth and sudafed but with no improvement (it's usually only minor and is relieved pretty easily, with the exeption of one time lasting 2 months).
The pinching nose and blowing isn't doing anything. I can't see a doctor right now, and I'm a little worried it'll end up causing me hearing loss (there's anxiety for you), which I already have in the other ear. I have to travel first week of next month and really don't want to be dealing with this then. I'd just got over the worrying about the hearing loss in my right ear too, and this is making it all the more noticeable. Any tips? Should I just keep going with what I'm doing? How long will this last? Yesterday I moved my head a certain way and the tinnitus and fullness disappeared for a couple of hours, but it's reluctant to do the same today.

I hope you're feeling better piglet.

I'm really struggling with eustachian tube dysfunction and feel awful. My hearing is thankfully not affected however, my right ear is blocked, I have a feeling of fluid in my ears (and sometimes also my head) but no discharge, nausea and feeling unsteady.

My doctor says I must give it time to clear up but after 4 weeks I've had enough. These symptoms are now impacting my busy life.

Any suggestions to help will be greatly appreciated.

Same here. I do jaw exercises while simultaneously pulling down on my earlobe quite firmly. After several times doing this, things start to pop and make weird noises, and it drains. Temporary, but it helps.

Thanks, I'll try that. Very disconcerting this feeling of fluid. I believe I can also smell it (not sure that can really be the case!).

Any more permanent solutions welcome. How long is this likely to take to fully clear?

Another one here with Eustachian tube issues. I went to the doctors last week because of this as I'd had weeks of misery and tried literally everything, exercises, pulling my ears, ear popping devices, steaming with vicks, olive oil in my ear etc etc. It was literally driving me up the wall.

Doc looked on my ear (looks normal apparently) looked down my throat, looked up my nose and reckons mine is caused by a deviated septum. No idea if that's right or not. He gave me a steroid nasal spray to try and it seems to have helped a bit.

Don't think you can't get a doc's appt! I got one the following day for this! It's really unpleasant not being able to hear properly and have that fullness.

I, too, get a smell, but the doc says that's mucus from the post-nasal drip that's being aggravated by the ear. I was on a steroid nose spray, but it's quite possible that I didn't give it a head-start on the pollen season (allergic rhinitis), so I was - and continue to be - in catch-up mode, and no treatment is getting on top of it.

One thing: I have found a strong correlation between neck/jaw tension and this occurring. And, of course, this is exacerbated right now because many of us are spending far more time at their computers/laptops, and fewer of us are going to gym/yoga/physiotherapists.
