Sorry to hear that you have this, hertsnessex.

I have hd ME/chronic fatigue for two years.

I have periods when I feel awful and can barely walk a couple of steps but have had a few periods when I've been able to run /cycle long distances and felt totally well.

My advice is to listen to your body and not to push yourself when having a relapse.

Also eat healthily, give up alcohol and coffee.

Plan your diary so you don't have too many events.
For example if you have a big celebration such as dc's birthday party make sure you don't have any other tiring events in the weeks preceding it.

Cancel things if you are feeling ill.
I think in the early stages of my illness I kept pushing myself and ignoring my symptons when in fact I should have been resting.
People do recover but it is so importnat to listen to your body.

Hi I was finally diagnosed with M.E sept 08 after suffering for 6 years with not knowing why I was always so ill and exhausted. I recently had another replase and found out I am 4 weeks pregnant. I am still learning alot about myself and how my body works, it would be nice to talk to others who are in a similar position or want to exchange any advice.

Hi
I started taking Juice Plus which totally helped me. Granted the 1st month of taking it was HELL but once the headaches subsided it got soooo much better, I even started craving fruit and vegies everyday and can't get enough of it. I try to use as much natural stuff as possible, stay away from chemicals and when I'm feeling good I can drink wine as it's better than beer which is full of chems. I am still learning alot about my body but recognise the signs like for instance right now my glands are up which means I have been over doing it so now I am resting, like total bed and sofa is as far as I'm going until the glands go down.

Hope this helps x

I don't have ME, but have Fibromyalgia which ahs similar symtoms. I have had it for years but only got diagnosed in 2006. I am quite bad at the minute, with flare ups of pain and the fatigue, it's so crippling

I had this from 2001-2002 onwards, it lifted 2 weeks before DS2's birth in March. I feel OK now tho.

My problem was caused by overwork, excessive overtime, bullying and stress at work and severe emotional exhaustion caused by XP and working in numerous temp dead end jobs.

5 years after meeting lovely, supportive DP and having 2 DSs, it has lifted.

I did not suffer any physical pain, just total exhaustion. It has taken years to lift, but here we are.

Now I can move on

Good luck
