I'd be interested in this as well after watching something on bbc3 last night about increases in breast cancers around the armpit area.

MaryAnnSingletomb · 12/10/2007 16:40

me too

IWantToBePositive · 12/10/2007 16:40

I bought something from Lush which is natural and actually works very well and I ususally siffer from wet clothes when stressed.

IWantToBePositive · 12/10/2007 16:41

Have also tried the Arrid cream which also seems to work okay.

MaryAnnSingletomb · 12/10/2007 16:41

what is it called ?

suedonim · 12/10/2007 16:44

Pitrok is one name to look for, also Bionsen and Tisserand.

IWantToBePositive · 12/10/2007 16:45

This one

MegaLegs · 12/10/2007 16:46

I have been using Pitrock for the pawt week and I was dubious as, of late, I have been quite a sweaty betty, but it does work, expensive but it will probably last for ages.

lalaa · 12/10/2007 16:46

Bionsen is aluminium free. Have used it for over two years and it's fine. Also used Green People (I think that's what it's called) but massively overpriced imo.

MegaLegs · 12/10/2007 16:47

past week, not pawt.

doggiesayswoof · 12/10/2007 16:48

Dh uses Bionsen, I have a friend who uses Pitrok. TBH they are no use in situations where you would sweat a lot though.

natmatt · 12/10/2007 16:56

yeah i watched bbc3 last night which has made me have these thoughts
i used biosen a few years back and didnt like it
ill check out ur suggestions tho

I don't think Pitrock is meant to stop you sweating but it prevents the bacteria that cause the smell, whuich was the problem I had

Bessie123 · 12/10/2007 17:01

I've been using pitrock for about a week now. My secretary tells me I don't smell (although I suppose it's difficult to tell someone they do smell) and actually, I don't seem to smell, but I don't feel v comfortable, because I'm never sure that I'm not going to smell. It feels strange rubbing a wet rock on your armpits instead of spraying deoderant.

wheresthehamster · 12/10/2007 17:06

IWantToBePositive - I've just looked at the Lush - is it soap or do you just rub it on? I can't tell from the blurb

annoyingdevil · 12/10/2007 17:07

I use crystal spring, available from Holland and Barratt. It's more expensive the the normal stuff, but lasts ages.

wheresthehamster · 12/10/2007 17:09

Eurggh! I just found the PitRok website and it's advertising a Tongue cleaner. Put me right off my toast

IWantToBePositive · 12/10/2007 17:16

wheresthehamster

The shop assisant told me to rub it between my hands to warm and then wipe it under my armpits. It comes with a label telling you what to do. Apparently you can use it on any smelly bits....

wheresthehamster · 12/10/2007 17:30

Thanks. I think I'm going to order one to try.

MrsTweedy · 12/10/2007 17:30

I use a Deo- Crystal, basically a lump of mineral that you dampen & rub underarm. It works by killing the bacteria and is amazingly effective, however it doesn't stop you sweating. I can't think of any natural product that will do that.

EmmaJW1976 · 17/10/2007 17:39

I went to Lush and got an amazing deo bar.

It doesn't stop you sweating initially - but if you do sweat it smells lovely

After using for a few days my armpits haven't been wet at all so V. happy!
