This is such an unbelievable story. Not only can the nurses not do
blood tests (they hack you) but they actually ask you that if they are
successful if you can convey it to the hospital.
I doubt this is allowed

If they don't have a courier option to get the specimens to the hospital in a timely manner (many surgeries don't) then a bloods appt at the GP surgery is less than useless as it won't get the the lab in the right time frame. Also, your GP nurse will actually have a million other things that need doing and their time will be better spent doing that whilst you can pop to a hospital for your bloods to be done. Hope that helps ☺️

A view from my husband: "Our local surgery is offering less and less so why is that? I am deaf and used to have my ears syringed annually but now I have to pay £80 for someone private to possibly tell me they do not need doing! I need a medical report for my shotgun renewal but the surgery no longer do that even though I would have paid for it. I had to pay an agency £60 who in turn legally demand the information from the surgery; they have month to respond. Now the last straw we have a message that the surgery will no longer do blood tests. My wife has a serious lung disease and often needs blood tests to check any ill effects of the drugs she have to take. She will have to drive 12 miles each way to hospital and of course pay for parking; she is on oxygen. What about the extra carbon emissions the journey causes? I feel it is all about making money."
