Back pain after spinal.

Since having my DD just over a year ago I've been having major lower back pain. It was a traumatic birth which led to me needing surgery and 3 blood transfusions. Due to my blood loss they didn't want to put me to sleep so I was given a spinal. My lower back now most days really hurts I work a manual job so some days are crippling. I have been to the drs about it which led to am MRI which showed nothing. I was also referred to a physio but due to COVID I've not actually seen anyone its just been over the phone. I am also on cocodomol tablets prescribed by the drs but they never give enough to last me to the next prescription so I'm going to phone and ask for more. Sometimes if my DH is feeling nice and notices I'm in a lot of pain he will give me a massage, but I don't know if going to see a proper masseuse will help. I'm just posting really to ask if anyone has had similar issues to me and if anyone had any advise for me. I am really struggling on a day to day basis.

TIA

I had something similar after a spinal with DS1. I saw a chiropractor (but not until years later) who said it could be down to a sort of scar tissue. Mine comes and goes now and is nowhere near as bad ass it was in the early days so I didn't follow it up but it might be worth a try for you. My GP also recommended some exercises very similar to cat/cow poses in Yoga which helped.

@BeBraveAndBeKind what did the chiropractor do? And how do you get referred to them. Did your pain last long? It's been just over a year and some days are a struggle. I do a manual job that really doesn't help either.

The company I work for has a partnership scheme with local businesses including the chiropractor and he was in the giving free short initial consultations. He took a history and explained that sometimes the siting of the spinal can cause damage to the muscle fibres. He thought it was treatable.

I've had two spinals and an epidural over the years but the damage was done on the initial one. It hurt every day initially but I never really dealt with it properly because I had other stuff that took priority at the time, a mistake in retrospect! It still hurts on and off now but more as a twinge rather than the level of pain it was at before. Don't leave it like I did though!
