Overall health check?

I am in my mid-fifties keep getting various health problems popping up. One gets resolved and then something else appear that has to be investigated.

I feel like I need an overall health check to get a complete picture of my physical condition and to assess any lack in minerals, vitamins etc.and possible potential or emerging problems.

I am more drawn to the natural, holistic side of medicine than the strict main stream approach, which seems very disjointed and random and pharma orientated.

Can anyone recommend what I should be looking for or can even a point to a particular website to find the sort of service I want, just to start me off in the right direction?

I would start with a check up from your GP, which includes blood tests, then you go from there.

Hi @goldrabbit22 I had a full "health enhance" check through Bupa. It is pricey but luckily my work health insurance covered it although I would save up and pay for it myself if needed as I found it so good. They did a full blood count analysis, urine check (for protein, blood etc), breast exam and smear test. Along with time to discuss with a doctor any worries or concerns. They also checked heart rate, blood pressure etc and assessed likelihood of other health issues. There was a physical as well but I didn't do this (essentially they get you to do some yoga poses to check your mobility). It was super helpful at getting an overall view of my physical health and they do a few different types of check depending on your age/gender etc.

For the more holistic approach, and to look at any mineral deficiencies etc, there are often local health centres that do blood tests for these, along with any allergies or intolerances to foods etc. Perhaps google your local area along with "mineral and allergy testing"?

I'd also really recommended reflexology! It's really interesting and even if you don't believe in it, at the end of the day it's a lovely foot massage and some time to yourself.
