Coccyx pain and pale pink discharge

For the last year I've had coccyx pain, so it's hard to sit down.
GP says it's because I've lost weight and 'have less padding'
I'm 52 now and my periods are still regular tho have gone from 6 days every 28 days to 4 days every 32. But I have a permanant 'dragging' feeling in my lower back and lower abdomen now and this month I've had quite a bit of creamy plus pale peachy pink discharge (sorry if tmi, but not at all like period blood). I feel permanantly like I'm about to start my period. Is this the menopause and the coccyx unrelated?
Or could this need checking out?

I'd get that checked OP.

Nerve supplies to the coxyic joint are intervated by the muscles in the pelvic floor. I've had pelvic pain and coxyic issues and DH (in healthcare) is gently pushing me towards a GP appointment. Sorry for poor spellings

Could you have a prolapse?

52andblue · 21/09/2020 08:24

thanks.
I don't think it's a prolapse as i've been diligently working on my pelvic floor and no signs of issues.
I think it was the weird peachy discharge that worried me.
GP (last year) said: 'oh lots of odd things happen during menopause but most women are fine, you can always go to the chemist if you struggle'
(we were discussing my FSH level which was non M at the time)

Are you up to date with your smear tests?
I can't see how coccyx pain so bad that you can't sit down is being ascribed to losing weight and having less padding!
Very slender and/or elderly people have no problem sitting down...
I'd go to a different GP if that's possible.

I can actually sit down sorry but it is painful all the time and I have to shift from side to side on my buttocks and lift my bottom up if I can't after a few minutes for some relief. It's both numb and painful which is weird? My BMI is around 26 so I am by no means super slim / bony.

Hmmm. not sure when last smear was, which prob means its ages.
I will check, thanks @sadie9
