How to identify a tick bite

I have a fear of lyme disease that is massively disproportionate to the risk of anyone in my family getting it. Have just noticed a small dot on ds arm with a ring around it. Photo attached. It is not a fading bruise and I haven't previously noticed it being bigger or redder. He is 2, so I do see his arms closely every day. Does this look like a tick bite? The pics on google were all much redder than this.

I'd ask a pharmacist.
It doesn't look much at all like the typical tick bite pictures I see online. Can barely see the ring, and that ring effect could be from child scratching at it.

We get bitten by ticks once in a while. We have not had any reactions. Other bugs can make similar looking bites, too.

We've had a few tick bites this summer, and they all had the tick still in (yuk), we had to buy a tick remover tool.

Agree with pp, could be any kind of bug.

Ticks normally hold on for a significant amount of time while they feed, like days (or even weeks) not minutes. It's therefore pretty unlikely this is a tick bite if it's not still attached and you've seen his arms every day.
