Almost constant breast pain - please help!

Since having a baby 2 years ago my boobs are utter agony. Just sore and tender all the time (100% not pregnant). I am taking ibuprofen most days but worse for me is how I feel prevented from doing things like running around and playing silly games with my daughter.I just find it quite exhausting being in pain all the time.

I have mentioned to GP twice but because the pain tends to disappear when I have my period (so I do get 6 days or so of respite) they are sure it is just cycle related. So I have never been offered further investigation/help.

The pain is worse in one breast. Sometimes I feel like it is also in my lungs but I can't work out if that is just my imagination - I obviously can't feel where my lungs begin if you see what I mean.

Other things that might be relevant... I used to have light periods but since baby they are absolute hell. And my boobs have gone up from a C to an E since baby too (I have not put on weight elsewhere).

Does anyone else have any experience of this? Tips? Can I insist on further help? I do have private insurance.

Might it get better in time?

And please god may this end post menopause?

Thank you for reading.

Hi! Sorry to hear you are in pain. If you have private healthcare, it may be worth using that to go to a private breast clinic. They can do ultrasound etc and offer advice on how to manage the pain perhaps?
