Does it normally make you feel unwell? I take it it's a good sign if peter is well enough to be able to have one (iykwim)

I've had the flu jab every year for the last 3 years and have never felt unwell from it. Just a slightly sore arm for a day or two

I don't think flu jabs contain live virus, so you shouldn't feel ill afterwards...

from an NHS FAQ

"Modern flu immunisation does not usually cause problems. You may experience a slight soreness in your arm following the injection. Sometimes, it can cause mild fever and slight muscle aches for a day or so. There is no active virus in a flu vaccine so it cant cause flu. However, people sometimes catch other flu-like viruses, or very occasionally catch flu before the vaccine takes effect. Allergic reactions to the vaccine are rare."

So I guess that means the older jabs had a live vaccine and that's where the story of getting ill after the jab comes from. But modern flu jabs are fine.
