Piles I think - but dr won’t check

I think I have piles, symptoms are when on the toilet I feel like something in my bottom is moving out but nothing is there when I wipe. My bottom hurts to sit on and I constantly have a feeling of pain in that area. Sometimes I go to the toilet and a tiny bit of poo comes out and I’m wondering if it gets trapped by the piles. Also my bottom is very sore feeling as it takes a lot of wiping to get clean. I also get the feeling I need to poo a lot and wonder if that’s the pile. My bottom just feels so strange and this has been going on since start of July.

I can’t get to speak to a dr at all, whenever I call I get passed onto the nurse who says try some suppositories which I did and it felt improved but now a couple of weeks later it’s back again. The nurse has prescribed more suppositories but I can’t go in to see the dr.

Does this sound like piles? Is it normal for them to not really settle?

So I’ve just looked in the mirror Shock and it looks like lots of wrinkly bumpy skin around it. Is this normal for piles?

You need to make sure when you go to the toilet you arent struggling plenty of fibre.
Once you have had them you will get them occasionally. The drs told me if they where big to push it back up and that helps with the pain.

The suppositories from the drs are steroid and they work really well. But if it isn't working give them another ring.

Sounds like Farmer Giles to me. My partner has just started to get them. He managed to get a Dr appt who diagnosed. Supposotories, cream and special wipes sorted him out. Now when he starts to feel them he starts quickly on the suppositories and he feels relief immediately.

Thank you, I think I will feel better if I can get a gp appointment just so that I know that is definitely what it is.

@minmooch thanks for the tip. I will make sure I get started on treatment again quicker next time.

Well I have spoken to the GP who has advised that no red flag signs so won’t check unless it is still sore in a weeks time.

I did manage to get him to prescribe some cream as well so I will double up with that and the suppositories and hope it works.
