If you’re viewing these on the NHS or Patient Access app it should say if they are low.

Nobody on MN can diagnose you.

fiveguy · 20/08/2020 13:31

I'm not asking for a diagnosis I'm asking if they are considered generally to be low Hmm

Check with wherever you got them from but I had B12 and folate taken in December and the reference ranges used for mine would make your folate low and B12 normal. I had the same as that and was told to take folic acid tablets from supermarket. But check with your doctor as to what your mean. I didn't have ferrritin. Mine were NHS tests done in hospital and this is what I was given:

Component Your Value Standard Range
Vitamin B12 473.0 ng/L 211.0 - 911.0 ng/L
Folate 3.58 ug/L >=5.38 ug/L

Thank you - it's don't have reference ranges as they went in error to the hospital consultant instead of back to the gp as I had two lots of different bloods done . I'll ask.

Mine are taking e-mails. They are probably the same reference values as mine but best to check. It's the standard range figures. The folate means greater than or equal to.

Component Standard Range
Vitamin B12 211.0 - 911.0 ng/L
Folate >=5.38 ug/L

Your ferritin is low. Normal is 30-200 (sometimes 30-300 depending on which country you are in). I would speak to your GP about iron supplementation.

fiveguy · 20/08/2020 14:28

Thank you I've been taking iron tablets - 3 a day for about a year so will speak to them again.
