My husband is 60 and has high blood pressure ME and a few other health issues . So today we woke up made love all normal . He then went down stairs and I followed about 5 minutes later . I found him in the hall stressing that his mother was in hospital . I explained that she had been there weeks but he was dining his brother and our daughter about why his mum was in hospital ! Turns out he doesn’t remember anything of this morning or the last few weeks ie helping son in law with his car me visiting a friend etc . We have taken him to hospital and they say ct scan and blood tests are all clear ! Although he says he doesn’t remember these things being done . The doctor rang me and said he is baffled as dh has passed the memory tests they do ie day date where are you ? ( although earlier dh said he didn’t know the date or month to me ) dr said they did a test where you look at objects and have to remember them late and dh did this and aced these tests (drs words ) so people any idea what the hell is going on ?? I am so worried

It does sound worrying. I'm not a doctor but I would have said a mini stroke, maybe so small the ct didn't pick it up.
Those memory tests are not great - people can be totally fine one moment and not the next.
Keep an eye on things and write down any other episodes.

I'd also think mini-stroke (a TIA). High BP is a significant risk factor. They can resolve really quickly hence him acing the memory tests, and wouldn't necessarily show up in a scan.
They should have a follow up plan for him, OP, so they can help him manage his risk of it occurring again. Sending hugs Thanks

Get him tested for Covid. Memory issues/brain fog are a known symptom. If he is taking medications, I would be concerned about adverse reactions. This happened to my grandmother. We thought she was suffering with dementia, but it turned out to be drug interactions. As soon as the medications were sorted, her memory/behavioural issues went away.
