She's not doing anything to provoke them, but she's been stung every summer for the last three years. Last year, she was stung the day after she'd already been stung. The wasp that stung her this week had the choice of three other people and hadn't been provoked. I've only ever been stung once and I'm in my late forties.
Not surprisingly, she's now terrified of them. She's quite an anxious child anyway. Is it possible they smell her fear and go into fight or flight mode? Is there some pheromonal thing going on? Is there anything I can do to make them avoid her? With the windows open in the hot weather they're coming in the house, so she doesn't feel safe anywhere.
