Awful sharp pain upper back between blades

Hello,
Two nights ago I developed an awful sharp pain around my right shoulder blade. It’s now settled in my upper middle back. It does seem to ebb and flow depending on how am I positioned (it’s a lot worse when lying flat). It’s so sharp and intense that I almost feel breathless at times and after bath time today I had to put myself to bed for an hour as the pain was so draining. I have been Googling and have been panicking about heart attack, gallbladder stones and gallbladder cancer, trapped nerves etc. Does anyone have any ideas?
We’re on holiday in France at the moment and have swum both Monday and Tuesday nights for the first time (and for a long time) as obviously haven’t been swimming for ages due to lockdown! Could it related to that?

Glad you're better now OP.

@windthatbobbin how long did it take to fix with physio and cranial osteopathy? Did it ever come back?

I was starting to feel better but then it's come back again - mine is neck pain, pain at top of shoulders and back and some minor headaches. But it's very odd pain, like someone is pressing me backwards, and kind of shaky like my nerves are rubbing the wrong way or something. Some days there are aches down my arms as well.

I had an MRI but was feeling quite a lot better by then, but it showed some minor nerve impingement in my neck.

It got worse two days the night after treatment with a chiropractor and I wonder if she was too rough with my neck and set it off again.

Did the cranial osteopath or physio do any work on your neck and was it gentle? I'm in desperate need of help but a bit frightened of people making it worse. It doesn't help that the GP is clueless plus I didn't think the chiropractor properly understood my issue either.

It sounds like gallstones to me, I've had a similar pain twice now and it was so extreme I went to A&E - now booked in to get my gallbladder removed. I'd get it checked out OP
