Permanently exhausted

I'm a 29 year old female, in good health (no long term health conditions other than mental health which is under control) but I am permanently exhausted. I just woke up a couple hours ago & I'm already feeling myself falling asleep on the sofa. I have two children aged 7 & 3.5 years who both are good sleepers so that doesn't affect me.
I've had blood tests, CT scans and various doctors appointments & nobody can find anything wrong with me. I feel dizzy and lose my vision for a couple seconds, everytime I stand up quickly..I have loss of appetite sometimes & severe hungrier other days. My legs and arms sometimes ache like I've done a full work out & I can feel like I'm 50 odd.
I feel like I'm cracking up but I don't feel right & I've been like this for months, of course I've googled & all sorts comes up but I wondered if anyone else has ever experienced anything like this?

Hey I may not be much help but I also have blurry vision, dizziness and fatigue and I've been told it's anxiety: I don't have much to be anxious about but could this be something that you suffer from?
Even with the best night of uninterrupted sleep if anxiety is making u mentally exhausted you will be the same when you wake x

Fibromyalgia?

missbecks90 · 07/07/2020 12:48

I do have anxiety & depression but I'm medicated for it & I feel like it's under control and has been for sometime...surprising given being in lockdown until recently.

I just feel like I'm not being taken seriously by any doctor I've seen and although it could just be a side effect of my mental health they usually just agree with that because they can't find any thing else wrong. I sometimes think it's all in my head but I wake up every morning feeling physically exhausted but not so much mentally 🤷🏼‍♀️

Do you take your anxiety meds right before you sleep? Any medication that makes you drowsy can leave you exhausted if you take it right before you sleep because it takes time to get in your blood stream and then out of your system and if you wake up before that you feel exhausted with heavy feeling across your arms and legs. May be you use to take it early (couple hours) and now taking it late or you are waking up early because the day gets brighter early so you wake up early too. Or it could simply be that you are physically exhausted looking after your children during lockdown with added drowsiness from the meds. Try taking your meds a few hours earlier in the evening and see if it makes any difference.

hamstersarse · 07/07/2020 20:27

What’s your diet like?

hamstersarse · 07/07/2020 20:28

P.s. a lot of people in their 50s don’t feel like this Wink

Hi OP. I have similar-ish symptoms and was going backwards and forwards to the GP and the local hospital. None of the hospital consultants thought I had an issue in their area. I phoned the GP again who said there was nothing they could do and slammed the phone down! At this point, in utter exasperation, I moved to a new GP surgery. This has been life changing. The new GP took me seriously and decided to refer me to a major London hospital for a second opinion. The consultant I saw there also could not find any evidence of anything wrong but decided to see me again. On the second visit I got a diagnosis!

(And I am in my 50s...... it is not normal to feel like you describe)

Check out the symptoms of Addison's disease.Low blood pressure so dizziness, fatigue, loss of appetite, high heart rate, salt cravings....

missbecks90 · 12/07/2020 05:27

Thankyou for your replies.

My diet is ok, I'll eat pretty much anything i don't always have breakfast but I'll always get something mid morning.

I haven't had vitamin d checked, or heard of Addison's disease so I'll research those.

I'd definitely get the vit d checked then. My levels were ridiculously low.

This sounds exactly like the condition my friend has:
