GP or A&E possible dehydration

Since saturday lunchtime I have had pain in my right shoulder and stomach. I think its probably connected to gaullbladder pollipe seen on an ultrasound in February. Paracetamol and tramadol are controlling the pain. However, I am concerned that the antisickness medicine is not working and I have been sick every time I try to drink. I am concerned about dehydration as urine is dark. Is GP likely to be able to prescribe different tablets for nausia to allow me to drink and stay at home? Would really rather avoid A&E if possible.

Please consider a&e, dark urine in this context could well mean obstructed bile drainage from your liver. They can do blood tests and get the results much more quickly than your GP could, and determine a safe plan.

I would call 111 but be prepared to go A&E as you may need a drip and more monitoring. Dark urine is concerning particularly if you cant keep fluids down. I would be calling 111 immediately.

Thanks will call 111.

Has anyone been to A&E recently, concerned they are getting busy again and don’t feel able to sit and wait for hours as feel quite dizzy.

Spoke with 111, who’s advice was GP today. The thing they went through did not give an opportunity to mention the dark urine which was the main thing concerning me.
