sebaceous cyst removal?

I have a sebaceous cyst right on my bra line, that flares up every so often. It decided to do it again on Friday, and currently I am in agony. I'm using the magnesium paste and hot compresses, and it does seem to be forming a head...
Anyway. My question is, is it worth getting this thing removed privately after this flare goes down? I don't think it needs antibiotics at the moment, although I might call the GP in the morning if it's still painful or looks worse. How on earth do you even access private healthcare?

My DH had his removed by the GP last summer. It was on his back and got inflamed twice. Second time it spontaneously burst which wasn’t nice and he had antibiotics. Once healed the GP did a local, a tiny incision, took the sac out and put in 2 dissolvable stitches. I would ask if the GP would be able to do this even if it means waiting until restrictions are further lifted.

If you want to go privately without insurance all you have to do is get a referral letter from your GP (they will provide this if you ask usually) then work out where you will get this done - usually this would be by a dermatologist at a local private hospital. You can research ones near you but there are ‘chains’ (Nuffield for example). You’ll need to arrange an initial appt with them then at that appt the consultant will explain what’s best to do and do it. You’ll need to pay for both the consultation and the treatment, obviously.

I’d be surprised if the GP won’t do it if it’s causing infections. I’d certainly call them tomorrow.
