MRI and Flying

Hello everyone, I've got an MRI appointment in a few weeks as part of a cardiology investigation. This would be around nine in the morning.
Now my home country has been taken of the "Quarantine List" I would be able to take my flight home that afternoon, around three for a big family Birthday.

Do any of you know if this would be possible or whether there would be any risks involved? Time wise it would work out, so that is not a concern.
I will, of course, contact the hospital tomorrow to ask, but thought that maybe someone on here has done this before?

Thank you.

Just to clarify the "big Birthday" is not a big party, but a milestone Birthday.

Are you being sedated or undergoing any other investigative procedure as well as the MRI?

The MRI itself doesn't have any physical impact on you so I can't see how that would affect your safety to fly (not a medic, but have had MRI in the past) but if you were being sedated to keep you still, for example, then I would check with a doctor about the after effects.

The MRI will have no influence on your ability to fly.

The scan consists of subjecting you to very strong magnetic fields and is not invasive at all.

You'll be fine. I've had several MRIs recently. There should be some explanatory notes with your appointment letter.
