Acne/rosacea - how to clear (pic)

I've been suffering with these bumps/spots for a good while now, I've tried different facial cleansers for sensitive skin and it won't budge.

It's really knocking my confidence, wearing make up doesn't help it just makes the bumps stand out more. I didn't suffer from any bumps as a teenager and now in my mid/late twenties it's just started out of the blue.

I don't drink alcohol or have caffeine, I eat fairly clean, I've been drinking water with lemon, lime, mint and berries to "detox".

Is there anything else out there which could clear this up?

It does look like Rosacea, as I suffer from it and my cheeks do go like yours. I also have the same problem regarding make up. The only thing that gets rid of mine is antibiotics.

I had similar - Soolantra cream did the trick. You can get it on prescription but there are online pharmacies that do it. Not the cheapest but it is amazing. I think £40/tube. I used it every day for the first month and that dealt with the the majority and now I use it a couple of times a week.

These were taken a month apart using Soolantra

Get a prescription for antibiotic cream from GP , you can get it on private prescription from pharmacy too but it will cost you more. If you want you can use medicated calamine available for £1.50 from care which has calamine and zinc. It's not going to get rid of acne permanently but will takeaway redness and inflammation and dry out some of the spots.

Thanks all, I will get my hands on the antibiotic creams recommend.

@NothingIsWrong That is really impressive , cleared up nicely! I definitely think it's worth the £40.

Soolantra isn't antibiotic - it kills of the tiny wee dermodex mites that live on your skin that they think cause rosacea.

It has been life changing.
