the title says it all really!

DH noticed it turning in this morning, it isn't always like that so we are going to watch it over the weekend to see how often it happens. Off to the doctor on Monday I think.

Is this what a lazy eye is? Am off to google for info but would appreciate anyone's experiences.

TIA

I had a squint when I was little, used to be checked at the eye hospital every so often and had a cream to put in at night. Now my eye is fine but when I'm tired the left one does still turn in a bit.

Definitely go to the doctor - my health visitor said that most eye problems in small children need detecting early to avoid long term problems (and more serious problems etc).

yes, this is lazy eye

My bro had one and whenever he got tired one eye would look at you and the other would be looking over your shoulder!!

Hi. I have a lazy eye but strangely enough it wasn't picked up as a kid- my parents were too ignorant of the problem methinks -anyway, it does sound like your DD may have it so what you need to do is contact your HV or GP and they will refer your DD to an eye specialist - probably an orthopist or similar.

She might have to wear an eye patch over her good eye to get the lazy eye to work properly. The good news is, the younger the child the more success rate .

Unfortunately for me I will always have this problem as I am too old for any treatment - I wish my parents could have been more like you you at least you are doing somehting about it.

My eyesight would be ok had my parents sent me for an eye test - instead I have really poor vision in my lazy eye which will only get worse.

My daughter (3.5) has recently been given glasses. I took her to the doc as we noticed she has a squint, and they referred her quickly to the orthoptist.

She said she had a squint, and also needed an eye test. That then showed she was really short sighted, hence the squinting - her eyes were continually trying to focus and so were wandering.

Since she got her glasses she hardly squints at all!
