Plantar faciitus- anything help?

I've had it 7mths. I got new trainers, lost 10kg, do the stretches and exercises and nothing has helped. In fact, it seems worse! My GP said a steroid injection 'may' help, but are very painful! I've also been referred for physio, but I'm already doing the exercises, so not sure how that will help.

Anyone has success with steroids or has anything else helped?

My gp had taken a course in acupuncture and I had a few sessions of this with him. This helped with it alot.
Also always wear something on your feet even at home, not a soft shoe/slipper something firmer. I found a slight wedge heel helped. Or inserts. I hope you find relief, it is a fucking horribly painful condition.

Could you try shoes with heels, and or a Chinese medical product called Woodlock, which is available on eBay. Not for prolonged use though, it does not state on the packaging that it contains steroids but i am convinced it does. Smells strongly of camphor but works on pain.

In case anyone is still watching this I LOVE my Kybun shoes and having worn them religiously everyday I can't report that they have made my PF so much better. They cost loads but so did all the stuff I brought previously which didn't work. Have been back walking since back at work much higher number of steps and it still seems fine - anything over a couple of thousand steps a day used to have me in pain for days afterwards.
