Morning all. I wasn’t quite sure where to put this thread; it covers lifestyle, diet, weight loss, plant based eating. I listened to this chap on the Rich Roll podcast and am thinking of buying his new book. I’d be interested to see what the mumsnet community think of it as I haven’t found a thread on it yet.

I think a plant based whole foods diet is excellent. I'm vegan although favour vegan junk food too much, but I have restricted myself to no sugar and a vegan "diet" and weight fell off me, I felt the healthiest I've ever been. I think it needs a lot of equipment and planning to be bearable though.

Thanks for your reply. I’m not thinking of changing my diet too drastically atm as I’m pregnant, but I found the research on the podcast really interesting.

My daughter loves cooking and she tried to follow a plant based whole food diet
She gave up after a few weeks as it was time consuming to make meals from scratch ( up to 3 hours preparation for one of them) She also found the meals a bit lacklustre at times and very expensive
So back to 4 days vegetarian eating 3 with meat or fish included
Its a matter of which works best for you

I read how not to die and it's very good. He has a website somewhere which has little videos which attempt to be evidence based.
