did you commit any of the following sins when your dc were young and in their milk teeth, and how healthy were those milk teeth before making way for the decent big gnashers they have now? please.

-brushing their teeth thoroughly mainly only at night

-letting them drink extremely watered down juice from a bottle, or milk from a bottle, to go to sleep with.

-unlimited access to fruit

-other foods with sugars in, not unlimited but hardly rare.

do i need to buck up my ideas? or will it Be Ok, in your experience?

many thanks in advance...

ok people, thank you all for your input. i really appreciate it.

my intention now is to keep up the brushing etc and regular dentist visits etc, but not kill myself with guilt as i have come round to the luck of the genetics draw argument.

I have very strong teeth. I have had no fillings ever. Only teeth I had removed were because they grew in a funny place and I needed some out for a brace. Ok, they are not very white - never have been though. I went years without seeing a dentist during uni years and afterwards. And growing up I lived on a typical diet of those times - none of these ideas of avoiding sweets, ice cream, chocolates, pop, sugars, etc. Never had any problems at all (so far).
