Sooooooo tired!

Not sure what I'm hoping for in posting but really quite concerned that there is something wrong with me as I am so tired. Bone achingly, could put my head on my desk and sleep tired. Pretty much all the time but I especially feel it after work at about 6pm.

I eat reasonably well - but probably too much sugar and about 1.5 stone overweight. Don't do much exercise as since lockdown,by the time I finish work (8-5.30ish office job from home - although it's so busy and I don't even get a break beyond loo/ coffee), i really can't face it. Even just a walk feels like more effort than I can muster. I go to bed before 10 every night and sleep through till 6.30ish when I wake fairly naturally.

I've always been tired but the last couple of months have been the worst. Been to dr lots of times over the years and they've never found anything g wrong. What can I do? How can I get motivated to change this?

Have you been tested for anemia? one of the common symptoms is excessive fatigue and lack of energy

Chocolategirl79 · 21/05/2020 22:29

Not recently but it was ok a while ago. But I have iron I might take. That's a good thought. Thank you.

Deficiencies in iron/ferritin, vit d and vit b are quite common

WrongKindOfFace · 21/05/2020 23:04

Did they check your ferritin levels as well as your iron? Your iron can be normal but your ferritin levels low. You can get at Home tests done privately if you’re not able to get them via the GP at present.

Eloisedublin123 · 21/05/2020 23:14

And are you taking vitamin d?

Chocolategirl79 · 22/05/2020 21:48

Thank you. Levels were ok last time I was checked (maybe 18 months ago) but I will ask for them to be tested again if I can get to speak to GP.
Didn't realise Vit D deficiencies led to tiredness. I usually have it through the winter but haven't really since about Feb. Oh hang on.... that might be an issue!

Yep, vitamin d deficiency can cause extreme tiredness!

Definitely recommend taking the BetterYou DLuxx vitamin d oral spray. Perhaps try the 3000iu strength first and when you finish it, drop down to 1000iu. You should feel a difference faster with the spray compared to tablets.
