Nonstop hungry but not hungry

Once in few years I have this situation when my stomach has this empty feeling of constant hunger, even I’m not hungry.
When I had it first time in 2015 it started after course of antibiotics so I thought maybe my stomach is upset and the microflora unbalanced.
I visited my GP numerous times about this and she did not believe me- said nobody can have a nonstop hunger,telling me it’s in my head.
It went away after two weeks.
Similar happened about 2-3 years ago, this happened after I drunk white wine on empty stomach- again horrible constant hunger pain.
I went to Gp again- different one. He took blood tests and said all ok. Again it went away after few weeks.
Last year I had it again after strong coffee- I saw GP - she explained me that is imbalance in my stomach lining and gave me some Lansoprazole for few week.
It went away.
Now I got again- started about 3 weeks ago, after I had a wine and later staring Coffee.
It’s worse this time.
I immediately started Lansoprazole as I got a box here. It seemed working but on day 14 I had some wine etc, it came back with much stronger hunger feeling.
Literally nonstop.
It won’t go away, even I eat the whole fridge!
I thinking if it’s stomach ulcer? But I read that that hunger pain would go away if eat something but it doesn’t now at all.
It’s pretty debilitating feeling.
I’m also never drink anything ever, just mild coffee. I wonder if I’m dehydrated badly and this from it?
I’m sorry long post.
I’m not nauseous or anything.
Just hunger pain...

I’m a really poor drinker my whole life,.I never ever have a glass of water unless I have to ..just a cup of coffee in morning.
Also in last few days I woken up with completely dry mouth in night with my rongue stuck to my roofer my mouth. Could be that dehydrated, possibly chronic?

Obviously I will go to Dr if this won’t improve but I wonder if and has any idea what is it?
Thank you

It's acidity, the stomach acid makes you want to eat to get rid of it, I had that feeling in both my pregnancies. Try gaviscon and if that doesn't work maybe something stronger from the doctor?

KipperBang · 15/05/2020 19:50

Instead of keep calling the doctor, why don't you stop drinking what you know triggers it and drink water during the day? It's pointless wasting a Drs time if you aren't doing what are absolutely basic things to stop it

@kiperBang
I'm not an alcoholic!
I have a wine now and then, like once a week or if DH opens the bottle, which is rare.
It happened to after Antibiotics or coffee too.

@pinkstar01
Thank you.
Yes I think I remember the dr said its something to do with too much acid in my lining.
The Lansoprazol is for it. But not longer working anymore.

When I was pregnant I had to take Zantac for a while, not sure what the medical name for that is but that used to work really well too!

Rathersexyfortysomethingblonde · 15/05/2020 22:02

@pinkstar01
Thank you.
I have a look.
I looked into the stomach acidity and it says triggers like raw onion etc. I had loads of raw onion on salad earlier this week, so I can see it must been the main triger actually.
Did you also had a heartburn?
As I dont have that, only rarely, not often.

I didn't imply you were an alcoholic.

I simply said that, as you know what causes it, you need to lessen the intake of those things and up your water before going to see a dr again

ursuslemonade · 16/05/2020 12:42

How can you function on next to no water I don't know but it can't be good for you.
I would drop wine and coffee completely (or have decaf) as they are not great for a sensitive stomach.

Thanks all.
