Any other healthcare workers out there? My feet are in shreds

I work in a busy radiotherapy department, on my feet all day. Upwards of 15000 steps daily.
I wore trainers with no kind of foot support for ages and I think now I have tendonitis and plantar fasciitis. I have supportive footwear now, but my feet are in agony when shoes are off and in the mornings. I have been icing, using painkillers etc but nothing seems to help. Can anyone recommend treatment please?

I have some half sock type of things that I got from amazon. Might be worth a try when shoes are off and you’re at home. Something like this: www.amazon.co.uk/Plantar-Fasciitis-Compression-Sleeve-Support/dp/B07L1125P4?tag=mumsnetforu03-21
Also, massaging the soles might relieve the plantar fascia. I’ve also used an at home ultrasound machine (Ultralieve, again, ordered online).

I've had chronic plantar fasciitis in both feet since 2012, its horrendous isnt it!!
I know it's really difficult right now, but you could get a referral to physio and podiatry who can both provide excercises and special insoles etc as well as other treatment options.

Depending on how bad it is you can get steroid injections. They aren't pleasant to get but do help for a while.

A really good exercise, especially in the morning is standing on a stair with your heels hanging off and gently lowering yourself down without coming off the step. It gives them a really good stretch which can help with the pain.

Unfortunately I had a rubbish orthopedic dr who told me not to stretch and that surgery was my only option! Bizarre!! But for the 2 years he was meant to be helping I believed him. So I now have permanent damage all over my feet and shortened calf muscles from over compensating. When I did see the surgeon first thing he asked was had I had an ultrasound confirming the damage, physio, stretching, acupuncture, light therapy, ultrasound therapy etc as surgery is a last resort. Nope.

My physio has me use a firm ball - think cricket rather than tennis, and massage the base of my foot. So I'd stand on one leg with the other foot on the ball. Apply pressure in 9 places (picture below) for 30 seconds each and then role the arch. Several times a day. Made a massive difference to feet, ankle and calf pain
