Hi,
For the last year I would say I have been suffering with pains inside my Vagina which feel like someone is poking a sharp knife inside me, the pain will come and go. Some days it doesn't happen, sometimes it does.

I have had a smear and a swab taken a few months ago , nothing unusual came back.
My doctor referred me to hospital. I was examined and was told they couldn't see anything unusual! (phew)
I have been told that it could be scar tissue from my c section, not understanding what he was on about I looked it up on the net and now I am worried!
I have to go back again for a ultra sound, awaiting a date.

Anyone have any advice? (good or bad!)

probably not much help but i had a lapscopsy about 2 yrs ago for painful peroids. doc said i had bad scare tissue from my section that was making my uterus stick to bowel and bladder, i was told this was likely causing the pain but not much could be done about it as 2 operate would prob cause more problems so i was just discharged with painkillers

Thanks, any response is helpful. It makes me feel like I am not alone.
The doctor at hospital said to take pain killers, but the pain is sometimes so sudden and disapears quickly that pain killers would be no use.

Hi,

I was experiencing pelvic pain (sharp pains during sex) following a c section 9 mths ago and after having an ultrasound I had a laparoscopy to remove the scar tissue. This cured it and I have been fine since. There are medical risks with having a laparoscopy but for me it was a quality of life decision.
