A little bit of background, my ds had an operation for hypospadias in march, this is the third stage, so had three ops before. This one was to seperate his willy from the rest of body and to grow skin for next surgery.

Since the surgery he has experienced, for the first time ever 'a hard willy' thats fine and am aware that this happens in boys from early age, but every now and then he has a milky white type discharge, sometimes it is whenms he pee's other time it is a stain in undies. There seems to be quite alot and dries milky white. So what is it? Is it just like sperm or something else. He is never aware of it and it doesn't happen reguarly enough for it to be post operative infection. This is all new to me as he is the first boy born to our family so no body knows the answer!!!!!!!! btw he is 4.11.
thanks in advance.

Hi , I have a son who is 4.9 and I've never seen any discharge. I'd see your gp.

dont want to add to a barrage but i have four boys and have never seen this in any of them despite constant erections!

If the discharge is plain milky it is not likely to be infection unless it looks crumbly in which case it could be thrush. Puss is usually present in infections so it would be more yellow/green. SITMI.

Also, as the op said it was intermittent and came around every few weeks this would not be the case if it was infected without treatment after each episode.
