Nail infection shared acetone

If I have a recovering nail infection (parynochia) which looks now sealed and crusted over, could I pick up an infection from a nail salon by soaking my nails in acetone that another customer has used?

Do they reuse it? That's gross

AliSxo · 19/03/2020 20:22

@dementedpixie I'm not sure 🤔 x

If you buy pure acetone and cotton wool pads and foil then you can remove gel nails yourself

Thanks I think I will next time xx I'm just worried in case anyone had any germs and they can be passed on but I'm guessing acetone is quite a strong chemical xx

I’m not convinced the salon should accept you as a client tbh

AliSxo · 19/03/2020 20:32

Well they did @MooseBeTimeForSummer and they're aware I've had parynochia and we delayed my appointment by a week because of it.

Maybe ask if they can use fresh acetone if they don't already

Chesterfuckingdrorrs · 19/03/2020 20:51

They should be using fresh acetone for every client.

DameXanaduBramble · 19/03/2020 20:57

They should be using freshly poured acetone just for you.
